Vanessa Hudgens and boyfriend Zac Efron depart the Hawaiian island of Maui after a week-long vacation on Wednesday (August 25).
The High School Musical sweethearts were spotted taking off from LAX in Los Angeles last Thursday. FYI: Vanessa is wearing a Honolua, Hawaii cap!
British model and actress Elizabeth Hurley recently admitted that he has a crush on Zac! She tweeted: "Watching one of the High School Musicals with my son. The cougar in me loves Zac Efron". Ha!

Zac Efron hasn't lost his beard. The grizzly-faced Hawaii-loving hottie was spotted on a little vacation this week in Maui with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. Not wild at all --at least not in public.
The two enjoyed some beach time, surfing and lazying around in the sand. Vanessa sported a bikini that showed off her sexy bod while Zac's wet suit shirt hugged his muscled physique oh-so-nicely.

Vanessa Hudgens shows off her strength by lifting a blue bowling ball in this behind-the-scenes look at the SU2C "Change The Odds" PSA.
The 21-year-old actress shared in the video, "It's really great to raise awareness. It's important for everyone to just take care of themselves. Take care of your well being and feeding yourself the right foods. Be positive, if you're negative, everything negative just starts to draw in around you."
Vanessa joined dozens of young Hollywood stars -- including BF Zac Efron, Sofia Vassileva, Andrew Garfield, Dakota Fanning, Logan Lerman, and William Moseley -- appeared in the new PSA.

Vanessa Hudgens: 'She Didn't Suck' in Rent

Yes, for all the sturm und drang surrounding Neil Patrick Harris' decision to cast shiny High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens as drug-addled, HIV-positive stripper Mimi in his Hollywood Bowl production of RENT -- you know you've hit a nerve when former NYU theater school student Perez Hilton sincerely freaks out -- her first performance last night wasn't an embarrassment for anyone.
Vocally, her performance was competent, if not stellar; more Glee than Broadway, but with no need for Auto-Tune. And though Hudgens doesn't come anywhere near the necessary emotional heft or possess a visible understanding of what it means to be homeless, penniless, strung out, and dying of a terrifying disease, she does, at least, look 16. (Or as Mimi might sing, "I'm 19, but I'm old for my age." Hudgens is 21.) She flung herself wholeheartedly into the wall-to-wall choreography of "Out Tonight" (which left her panting), and brought an endearing sweetness to the love songs, transforming Mimi from a baggage-carrying basket case into an eyelash-batting romantic. It occurred to me as I watched her skip off stage after the curtain call that her wide eyes and eager energy were possibly less a character choice and more a reaction to the thousands of people packed into the Bowl. I'm as fierce a defender of RENT as they come -- I graduated from NYU's theater school a few years before Perez, and let's just say you did not want to be near me after I saw the movie -- but against my better judgment, I liked Hudgens, and I like that she took this chance.

Vanessa Hudgens sings nothing but praise for her RENT director Neil Patrick Harris as she stops by to chat with ET during a break from rehearsals.
The 21-year-old actress shared about teaming back up with her Beastly costar, "I haven't done musicals in such a long time. The fact that it was my friend and someone I could trust that was directing it, I couldn't go wrong. He's very eloquent and he's such an actor's director because obviously he was an actor before so he knows how to get his point across... He has such an amazing spirit about him that really gives light to everyone."
And what did Neil have to say about casting Vanessa as Mimi? "When you're thinking of small lists of people who can play roles and you look at Mimi Marquez. She's a star of a show, supposed to be 19-years-old, with a darker complexion, who moves really well and sings great. Vanessa is like at the top of the list."

Vanessa Hudgens in 'Rent' rehearsals, Neil Patrick Harris says 'bonding is fast and furious'

Vanessa Hudgens is rehearsing for her upcoming performance in a Los Angeles production of Rent, in which she plays Mimi, an HIV-positive heroin junkie and nightclub dancer.
"It's an amazing cast. Everyone has such a good willing energy and everyone just wants it to be the best," Hudgens said. "We're all so passionate about this project. It's a great musical - I can't get the songs out of my head!"

Zac and Vanessa's scenes are so cute! More than a dozen of Hollywood's young stars have joined together for a new PSA called "Change The Odds," in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), an initiative raising funds for cancer research.
Some of the cast includes: Vanessa Hudgens, her boyfriend Zac Efron, the new Spider-Man Andrew Garfield, Dakota Fanning, Logan Lerman, Sofia Vassilieva, and William Moseley.

Jamal Sims: Vanessa Hudgens Is Amazing!

JJJ caught up with RENT's choreographer Jamal Sims on the Step Up 3D red carpet last night (he did all three Step Up movies too) and he dished on what's been happening behind-the-scenes at rehearsals.
Jamal shared exclusively, "Vanessa is amazing! That whole cast... The show isn't really a big dance show but we're taking it there. It's going to be great."

Vanessa Hudgens says 'Sucker Punch' role wasn't 'handed to me'

Vanessa Hudgens says she had to audition to get the part of Blondie, a mentally-ill girl who portrays a prostitute in the Zack Snyder-directed fantasy film Sucker Punch.
"I was over the moon, are you kidding?" Hudgens said recently. "I was so surprised, actually. I put a lot of work into it. The part wasn't offered to me. I went in, I did several reads - I think about four. And when I got the call, oh my god. Happiest girl alive."
"It's the best," she said. "I love auditions because when you get it, it's the most rewarding thing. It's so much better than having something handed to you." Sucker Punch is set for release on March 25, 2011 and also stars Carla Gugino of Watchmen fame.

Check out the brand-new poster for Vanessa Hudgens' upcoming flick, Beastly.
In the fantasy-filled romance, Kyle Kingson (Alex Pettyfer), a popular kid with a mean streak who ditches a date. His date, Kendra (Mary-Kate Olsen), turns out to be a witch who curses him to become everything he hates. The grotesque transformation leaves him with the seemingly impossible task of finding true love (Hudgens) to break the ugly spell.
Beastly will be opening in theaters on March 18, 2011.
